Every day all over the world Western Union provides a vital service for immigrants, supporting their families oversees.
Western Union recognises that the bonds between people working oversees and their family are incredibly strong, mainly because they have dedicated their lives to support them. So we devised a way for Western Union to give families a special way to connect with their loved ones.
Here’s the case study…
Participants visited the Send Yourself Home 360-degree photo booth to have their 3D portrait taken. This was then turned into a 3D printed model which was sent through Western Union to their loved ones.
This was initially aimed mainly at Filipino families and was launched at Festival of Philippine Arts & Culture at Point Fermin Park in San Pedro, California. The 3D printing photo booth went on to appear at Diwali Brent Festival in Barham Park, London and Philippine Fiesta in Melbourne, Australia.
